CAET was the Program Manager for the Cognizant Rebranding of interior and exterior signage at all 210 Cognizant offices around the world, including in North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and India. CAET was responsible for developing the scope, budget, logistics and planning, coordination with each office, acquisition of permits and landlord approval, on-site supervision of installations, quality controls and audits, schedule development and monitoring, hiring and contracting of subcontractors, and financial tracking for capital and expense expenditures.
The CAET team developed the scope and budget for the project in late 2018 with information collected from the client regarding locations with completion set for 1Q20. Due to the nature of the business, offices are frequently opened and closed as a result of mergers and acquisitions, which made planning the project a moving target. We were also responsible for developing the size, material, and application standards. The project was not a ‘like for like’ replacement but rather a ‘like for right.’
The project was tracking on schedule and within budget when COVID delayed the final 21 locations (primarily in India) from finishing on time. The team shifted gears to manage new schedules that would be dictated by local government, new office procedure requirements for contractors to get onsite, and additional costs associated with the scope changes. Since March, the team has completed 10 locations with 6 left to complete installation of new signage.
