As the Project Manager and Owner’s Representative for the Employee Support Space Renovation and Refresh Program, CAET provided turn-key services to develop conceptual drawings, budget planning, contractor bidding and selection, on-site presence to ensure quality and progress, logistical planning to allow construction to occur without interruption to the operations, procurement of owner furnished items including furniture and IT, as well as owner representation at municipality meetings regarding permitting, safety and requirements, and operations during construction.
The entire program consisted of 20 locations where our client operated. Due to operational changes, our client was consolidating workgroups which meant the leased spaces could be combined and right-sized. In addition to right-sizing space, our client planned to implement new furniture and finishes to provide a consistent look and feel for employees.
CAET was enlisted to manage 8 locations. Each location had an independent schedule due to varying existing conditions and lease requirements. Some locations required significant upgrades to the IT infrastructure. CAET coordinated with landlord IT and internal client IT to develop requirements, necessary upgrades, and cutover plans to avoid any interruption to the operations.
